1. Latvian state scholarships are available for studies and summer schools.
2. A scholarship can be received by Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students for studies, and additionally by academic and research staff for summer schools.
3. Bachelor’s students who have already successfully completed at least 1 academic year at any HEI

• Scholarships do not fully cover all expenses related to studies.

• Tuition fees, living costs, and other expenses must be personally covered.

• A Student loan is meant for covering the day-to-day needs of the student.

Credit can be applied for and received by students who are citizens of the Republic of Latvia, individuals with a foreign passport, as well as other citizens of the European Union who possess a valid permanent residence permit, provided they are enrolled in an accredited and licensed study programme at a Latvian HEI and have signed an agreement with the HEI.

Terms of the study loan:

• The amount of the study loan will not exceed the HEI’s tuition fee.
