I am really glad I jumped at the opportunity to come study here receiving the Latvian state scholarship. My situation is far from typical as Daugavpils University and my home university in Ukraine helped with the paperwork to turn this experience into academic mobility (and also take my exchange as a departure point for a cooperation agreement between universities). As of now, I'm studying online in both universities, getting the best treatment and lots of attention from my Latvian professors, and feeling really safe in a small cozy town like Daugavpils amid the chaotic pandemic. Doing an exchange year in Latvia is giving the crucial knowledge for my professional development and it doesn't stop there, I also met wonderful people here and it is cool that I can be a part of the international students' community.
