This semester 92 study scholarships and 20 research fellowships have been awarded to Ukrainian civilians by Latvian state and continues till the end of 2023
The government has allocated 688 000 euro to provide study and research scholarships to Ukrainian civilians until 31 December 2023. This semester (January-June 2023) 92 study scholarships and 20 research fellowships have been awarded to Ukrainian civilians for studies and research internships in the amount of 259 880 euro.
Ukrainian students of all study levels enrolled in Latvian public or private higher education institutions (including colleges) can receive a scholarship in the amount of 140 euro per month. In solidarity with the academic community of Ukraine, Latvian higher education and scientific institutions may offer internships (without remuneration) to Ukrainian researchers at their institution, and the state in its turn provides a research fellowship for scientific work of 900 euro per month.
Next call for applications will close on 15 September 2023. Applications for state support mechanism for the Civilians of Ukraine should be submitted through Latvian higher education and scientific institutions. Individual applications are not accepted.
