Study in Latvia – a national initiative to attract foreign students to Latvia – invites young members of the Latvian diaspora who are currently studying in Latvia or have graduated in recent years (since 2022) to an informal meeting. We would love to hear your stories about how you came to study in Latvia. Through these stories, we aim to understand how the regulatory procedures work and identify areas for improvement before sharing information with a broader diaspora audience abroad.

The conversation will include members of the Latvian diaspora who have chosen Latvia as their study destination. We believe that each diaspora student has a unique experience regarding their study choices and journeys, and we want to listen to each of these stories, as they are important to the Study in Latvia team.

By diaspora youth, we mean those who speak or do not speak Latvian, who may or may not have Latvian citizenship, but definitely have some connection to Latvia. This can also include individuals with dual citizenship (one of which is Latvian) and other individual circumstances that lead you to identify as a member of the Latvian diaspora.
